RETIRED MEMBERS CHAPTER

Region XI

The RMC Chapter provides professional meeting planning consultant services to support their various programs established to assist our community.   More specifically, the proceeds obtained from the services will help to provide scholarships to students in the Washington, D. C. metropolitan area.

Blacks In Government conducts an Annual Youth Competition to train 9th thru 12th Grade students in the Washington, D. C. area to compete at both the Regional and National levels.  Scholarships are given to winners.

To address the concerns of our many chapter members, the RMC Chapter provides scholarships to current students to assist them in continuing their education.    Based on the need, the scholarships start at $500 to $5,000.  All scholarships are paid directly to the school.

In addition to soliciting for corporate sponsorship and establishing partnership agreements with local  universities, the RMC Chapter also provides professional meeting planning consultant services to support the scholarship foundation.

To take advantage of a full 4-Year Scholarship  and tuition grants at Grantham University, please visit the website www.grantham.edu.  The application can be downloaded from this site and is issued annually.

The RMC Chapter provides Christmas packages to senior citizens and “Toys for Tots”  at various organizations throughout the Washington, D. C. metropolitan area.
