Chapter Meetings

Colorado Springs:

The Colorado Springs Chapter meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Thursday of the month at the NAACP office, 603 E. El Paso, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Denver Center Complex:

The Denver Center Complex meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Tuesday of each month on Buckley Air Force Base, Air Reserve Personnel Center, from 11:00-1200.

Mile High:

The Mile High Chapter meetings are scheduled for the 3rd Saturday of each month at The Retired Enlisted Association, 1599 Dayton Street, Aurora, Colorado.

 

 

 

 

 



 

Upcoming Events

January 2014

The Regional Executive Council will meet on Saturday, January 11th at The Retired Enlisted Association (TREA) located near 17th and Dayton.

 

The Regional Council Meeting will be held on Saturday, January 25th. Time and place pending.

Please join us for our Black History Month Lunch and Learn Program. Opening Remarks will be provided by Maribeth Gustafson, Deputy Regional Forester, USDA, US Forest Service. Please see flyer for more information.

The 13th Annual, 2014 Diversity Training Program in honor of Black History Month presented by the GSA Region 8 Black Employee Program (BEP.

Location: Denver Federal Center, Building 41, in the Remington Arms Conference located on the 1st Floor.

Date: February 25, 2014.

Time: 10:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Program: Ms. TaRhonda Thomas, 9NEWS/KUSA Anchor/Reporter is the Mistress of Ceremonies for a third straight year and Dr. Jandel Allen-Davis, MD, Vice President for Government & External Relations with Kaiser Permanente is the Keynote Speaker.

Theme: CIVIL RIGHTS in AMERICA.

IBC African American Heritage Month Program

Please join us for the 8th Annual IBC African American Heritage Month Program as we celebrate the 2014 National Theme, "Civil Rights in America". The program will host guest speaker Rev. Dr. James D. Peters, Civil Rights Activist. The program will also include music by the IBC Ensemble accompanied by Michael Williams, and dance selection by BriAna K. Franklin.

Location: Building 7401, Telluride/Durango Room 150/160

Date: Thursday, February 27, 2014

Time: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

You can purchase a lunch ticket starting Thursday, January 30, 2014 until 12:00 noon, Tuesday, February 25, 2014. The cost of ticket is $8 per person. The luncheon menu is Barbeque Roasted Chicken, Georgia Chopped Pork, Potato Salad, Cornbread/Roll, Peach Cobbler and a drink. Lunch for paid ticket holders will be served immediately following the program.
