August 1-5: The NIH sent over 200 attendees to the
BIG National Training Conference including 16 delegates to the National
Delegates Assembly.

August 3: The BIG NIH Chapter hosted the Health
Forum on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at the BIG National Training Conference
in Orlando Florida.

August 5: The NIH Chapter’s student entry placed 3rd
in the National Youth Oratorical Competition.

August 25: Chapter invited Matthew Fogg, National 1st
Vice President to address the Agency’s Mandatory Training on the No Fear
Act.

Members of the Chapter are actively participating and
meeting with the No Fear Act Coalition.

September 8 - The Chapter hosted a “Post Conference
Roundtable” for attendees to the National Training Conference to give an
overview to those unable to attend.

September 15: The Chapter hosted a job information
session pertaining to entry- level vacancies at NIH.

September 10-11: Participated in the “Black Family
Reunion”.

September 21: Participated in the “Congressional
Black Caucus Legislative” Conference.

September 22: Hosted Financial Empowerment Session

Raised monies to support BIG’s National initiative on
the Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund.

Raised monies for in support the Chapter’s initiative
on the Hurricane Katrina Relief fund and assisted with the families housed
at the DC Armory.

October 7: Hosted fundraiser to Atlantic City

October 29: Participating in Holiday Card fundraiser.

BIG is actively participating with the NIH, Office of
Equal Opportunity and Diversity Management under the direction of the
Black Employment Program Officer on developing the Agency’s strategic plan
on hiring, promoting, mentoring and retaining Black employees.
