Chapter History

The Lower Mississippi River Chapter (LMRC) of Blacks in Government (BIG) received its charter August 1993, at the request of Mr. Thomas F. Phillips, President.  The chartered Officers included Mr. Eugene F. Dixon, Secretary; Ms.Stella M. Lejeune, Treasurer; Ms. Gaynelle A. Chopfield, Chaplin.  The charter members were Mr. James Darby, Jr., Mr. Johnny B. Drummond *, Mr. Statford A.Goins, Mr August W. Martin, Ms. Joyce M. Williams and Mr. Thomas Williams.
