
Dr. Johnny E. Braddy is
a Commander in the U.S. Public Health Service Corps, and is currently
serving as Chief of the Regulatory Policy Branch at the Food and Drug
Administration's (FDA), Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN),
Office of Plant and Dairy Foods and Beverages, Division of Dairy and Egg
Safety. Dr. Braddy received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
degree from Tuskegee University and the Master of Public Health in
Epidemiology from the University of Michigan. While at Tuskegee
University, he also earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Biology
and Animal Science.
Dr. Braddy has demonstrated throughout his career that he
possesses high levels of interpersonal skills and leadership ability.
This is evident in his having served as Assistant Deputy for Veterinary
Activities in the U.S. Army; as Director of a Small Animal Medical
Hospital; as a Veterinary Goodwill Ambassador to China, Russia, and
Finland; and as an EEO Counselor and member of CFSAN's Equal Employment
Opportunity (EEO) Advisory Council. He has also represented the Agency
on both internal and external task forces, work groups, and
international committees.
Dr. Braddy is an active member of the HHS Washington
DC/College Park Complex Chapter. He is currently serving as
President of the Chapter. He is
strongly committed to the Chapter's Scholarship Program and believes
that the program is key to enhancing the quality of education for our
youth. His current interests include public speaking and mentoring
others in the area of career development.
