Greetings:

The GAO Chapter of Blacks In Government is dedicated to advancing equal opportunities for African American employees as well as promoting staff development and educational opportunities for all GAO employees.  Our ever growing chapter plans and implements numerous programs throughout the year aimed at cultural enrichment as well as personal and professional growth.

We encourage you to attend one of our monthly information and general business meetings that are held on the first Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 pm in GAO headquarters room 4Y23.  Information on upcoming events at GAO and around the region (e.g. external training, conferences, cultural and volunteer activities) and issues of general interest are discussed.

We also invite you to become a member of one of the premier organizations representing the interests of African Americans and one of the few specifically focused on issues affecting government employees.  Our annual fee of $45 includes national and chapter dues and supports the many activities that we sponsor each year.  A link to our membership application is provided for your convenience.

Regards,

Signed
