Foster Children's Christmas Luncheon

The DC Child and Family Services Agency held their annual 'DC Child Network' Christmas Program, on Saturday, December 16th, 2000, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Washington, DC.
Invitations were extended to the foster children and their foster parents, prospective foster parents, and a variety of sponsors (Grand Hyatt Hotel, Benjamin Banneker Chapter of Blacks In Government, several local law firms and Federal agencies including the General Services Administration's - Public Building Services and the Department of Commerce).
.The children were presented numerous gifts provided by all of the sponsors, and were very happy and excited over their gifts. (Click to view photo's from the Christmas Program)
The Benjamin Banneker Chapter (BBC) sponsored and purchased gifts for approximately twenty-three children, who are currently in the DC's foster care program.
The chapter would like to recognize and thank Dr. Janet Brown and her staff in the Human Resources Division at NCR, for their participation in our chapter's Community Outreach Service Program.
BBC would also like to thank Ms. Felicia Gibson, Chairperson of the BBC Outreach Committee, and Ms. Sanya Ham, President, Benjamin Banneker Chapter, for their long and tireless efforts in making this community service activity a huge success.
