Oratorical

Blacks In Government is a non-profit organization which promotes EQUITY in all aspects of American Life, EXCELLENCE in public service and OPPORTUNITY for all Americans.  The Coast Guard Chapter of Blacks In Government Scholarship Program is accepting applications from local high school students who will be graduating the Spring of 2014.  Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $500 to $1,000 in two categories: Students must select only ONE scholarship category.

 

Engineering Scholarship: Students who seek to obtain a college degree in an engineering field may select this category.

 

General Scholarship:  Students who seek to obtain a college degree in any field of study may select this category.

 

The 2014 Scholarship application period has now closed.

2014 Oratorical

scholarship competition - $400 cash award

 

 

US COAST GUARD CHAPTER OF Blacks in Government ORATORICAL Scholarship Completion promotes excellence in education and offers a great opportunity for Students grades 9th thru 12th (nine thru twelve).  A Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $400, a chance to win $500 at WDC Regional in June, a trip to the B.I.G. National Training Institute in Las Vegas, NV in late July and other awards and prizes.  Application deadline is extended: May 2,  2014.
