On Sunday,
December 17, 2006 our Lord and Savior called our beloved Lamart Carter Jr. home
after a fatal car accident. Lamart received his education in Warrenton, GA.
After graduating high school, Lamart joined the United States Air Force where
he receive several ribbons and honors. Lamart retired in 1991 with honorable
discharge. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Lamart began a new
career at the Department of Defense where he worked in the Office of Economic
Adjustment until his passing.
Brother Lamart Carter Jr. as
affectionately known in the Masonic Brotherhood, was a 32 Degree Mason of James
a Mingo, Consistory Number 334, member of Ronald E. McNair Lodge #146, member
of Mist Temple #213. An avid sportsman, Lamart served as a referee in
basketball, football, softball and many other sports. He also had a love for
all kinds of music and love to dance.
Lamart was a dedicated member of
the BIG Pentagon Chapter, as a Life Member and Gold Plus Member, Co-chairman of
the Fundraising Committee, chair person of our annual Bowling Night and served
on many other committees. He also served as a Sergeant-at-Arms for several
years at the National Delegates Assembly.
Lamart leaves to cherish his
loving memories his devoted wife Debra, two children, Tracey Watkins, Jamaal
Carter. He also leaves his legacy, his adored three grandsons, Jordan, Jadon
and Tremayne Jr. |
