We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Eugene Releford, an employee of CDC for 16 years. Eugene departed this life on Thursday, November 17, 2005. He was an inspiring member of the Facilities Engineering Office, Facilities Planning and Management Office, Office of the Chief Operating Officer.

Eugene began his career with CDC in 1989, where he served as a painter. He also served and volunteered in many areas here at CDC such the blood drives, SHARE Toys for Tots Campaign, Tilson Elementary School - CDC Partner In Education, Boys Scouts of America and numerous other programs. He was a lifetime member of Blacks In Government and served as the parliamentarian for the CDC/ATSDR Blacks In Government Chapter. He was well known throughout CDC and NCEH/ATSDR.

Eugene was a very dedicated, cheerful, and hard-working employee with an intense compassion for people. He will be missed greatly by his CDC Family.
