2012 Back-to-School Supply Drive

Blacks In Government is collecting donations of school supplies for children in the Detroit area. Our goal is to send hundreds of students to back-to-school with the supplies they need to succeed. We need your help.

In lieu of school supplies, we are also accepting monetary donations. Look what a small amount can do for a child:

. Please make checks payable to: Blacks In Government – School Supply. In addition, we are accepting on-line monetary donations at www.bignet.org through August 15, 2012. Moreover, school supply donations will be accepted at the 2012 BIG NTC (Registration site).

· For $5, you can provide a child with pencils, an eraser, a notebook, a ruler, a package of paper and scissors

· For $10, you can provide a child with all the school supplies on the suggested list below.

· For $25, you can provide more than 35 children with crayons.

Suggested School Supply Donations:

· Composition notebooks (wide-ruled)

· No. 2 Pencils

· Washable markers (broad tip)

· Glue sticks

· Loose leaf paper (wide-ruled)

· 16-count crayon packages

· 12 inch plastic rulers

· Facial tissues

· Erasers

· Scissors
