                Workshop Information

        CALL FOR 2018 BIG NTI WORKSHOP PROPOSALS                                          

The Blacks In Government (BIG) 2018 Annual National Training Institute (NTI) in New Orleans, Louisiana, on 13-16 August. Once again, the NTI will feature workshops, special enhancement programs, and unlimited networking opportunities.

The 2018 NTI Workshop Committee is seeking proposals that reflect the best thinking in the professions based on research and practice. The committee invites proposals that include innovative and cutting-edge content and foster discussion and student engagement. Highlighted categories include:

  1. Career Development
  2. Communications Skills
  3. EEO
  4. Financial Management
  5. Health Awareness
  6. Information Technology
  7. Leadership and Management
  8. Personal Effectiveness
  9. Quality of Life
  10. Resource Management

 The overall intent is to have a diverse array of presenters and perspectives.

  1. The registration fee is waived for presenters.
  2. BIG does not pay travel or lodging for presenters.
  3. BIG provides standard audio/visual (A/V) equipment: podium with microphone, LCD projector, and easel with flip chart. Any additional AV requirements/cost will be the responsibility of the presenter.
  4. Each workshop will be 1 hour and 45 minutes. Presenter must keep within the time allotted in respect for the next presenter.
